MSM-10 Zock

The MSM-10 Zock is an experimental amphibious mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War, designed primarily for use in aquatic environments. Introduced in the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, the Zock was created as a prototype assault unit for the assault on the Earth Federation’s underground base at Jaburo. However, only three units were produced, and its deployment was limited.

The Zock features a distinctive and bulky design with a large central body and minimal lower limbs, relying on hydrojet thrusters for underwater movement, with a maximum speed of 63 knots. The mobile suit is equipped with an impressive array of weaponry, including eight mega particle cannons—four mounted in the front and four in the rear—allowing it to fire in any direction. It also has a phonon maser gun mounted on top, capable of targeting enemies above it, as well as a pair of “Iron Nail” claws for close combat.

The Zock’s cockpit is located within its torso, housing a single pilot. The design prioritizes firepower and durability over mobility, positioning it as more of a stationary mobile gun platform than a traditional mobile suit. Despite its brief appearance in the series and limited production, the Zock’s unique design and concept have made it a memorable and interesting unit in Zeon’s roster of amphibious mobile suits.
