JNTHED

JNTHED is a Japanese freelance artist and mechanical designer, best known for designing the Gundam Aerial and Gundam Lfrith in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. Born on April 18, 1981, he began his career in the video game industry and later worked with artist Takashi Murakami’s creative group, Kaikai Kiki, before moving into mecha design.

His work on *The Witch from Mercury* began through a design competition, where his early concepts incorporated witch-like themes, such as a funnel system that resembled a pointed hat. These ideas were later refined into the final Gundam Aerial design, blending sleek, humanoid proportions with elegant technological elements. His designs stood out for their balance of mechanical realism and stylized silhouette, contributing to the unique visual identity of the series.

JNTHED also designed the Aerial Rebuild version that appears later in the series, maintaining thematic and visual continuity. He frequently shares his artwork online, especially on ArtStation, where he showcases a portfolio of sci-fi and mecha illustrations.

In summary, JNTHED is a modern mechanical designer whose innovative and artistic approach brought a fresh, character-driven perspective to Gundam design.
