The MS-09F/TROP Dom Tropen is a specialized ground combat mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. An adaptation of the MS-09 Dom series, it was engineered for deployment in tropical and desert environments, addressing the limitations of earlier models in such harsh terrains. The Dom Tropen’s design incorporated lessons from the YMS-09D Dom Tropical Test Type, focusing on enhanced durability and operational efficiency in sandy and hot conditions.

Key modifications included dust-resistant air filters, improved cooling systems, and armor designed to facilitate maintenance and prevent sand ingress. Its head unit was based on the MS-09R-2 Rick Dom II, featuring a sub-sensor for better situational awareness. The mobile suit retained the Dom’s signature hovercraft technology, utilizing thermonuclear jet engines in its legs for high-speed ground mobility.

In terms of armament, the Dom Tropen was equipped with a diffuse beam cannon for ranged attacks and a heat saber for close combat.
