Corphish

Corphish (ヘイガニ) is a Water-type Pokémon first introduced in Generation III. Resembling a red-shelled crustacean or lobster, it is known for its hardy nature and ability to thrive in polluted or filthy water. Originally brought from overseas, it has since proliferated in various regions due to its strong will to survive and lack of picky eating habits.

In battle, Corphish utilizes its sharp, powerful pincers to catch prey and shred anything in its path. It possesses abilities such as Hyper Cutter, which prevents its Attack stat from being lowered, and Shell Armor, which protects it from critical hits. Corphish evolves into Crawdaunt starting at level 30. In the Pokémon animated series, a notable Corphish was caught by Ash Ketchum, often characterized by its stubborn and sometimes troublesome personality.
