Isao Shirasagi

Isao Shirasagi (白鷺 いさお) is a Japanese mechanical designer and illustrator who has worked on various anime and plastic model projects. He is perhaps best known for his mechanical design contributions to the Macross franchise, specifically on Macross Delta and Macross Delta the Movie: Passionate Walküre. Within the plastic model industry, he has collaborated with manufacturers like Good Smile Company, notably providing designs for the MODEROID plastic model kit series, such as the Shinkalion and various mecha from the Brave series. His work often focuses on intricate mechanical detailing and ensuring that complex transformable or combinable designs are functional as physical models. Beyond animation and hobby products, Shirasagi has also provided mechanical illustrations and designs for video games and specialized hobby magazines.
