Takaboku Busujima

Takaboku Busujima (毒島 孝牧), also known by the professional name Busujimax, is a Japanese sculptor and artist known for his work in the collectibles and hobby industry. He is particularly recognized for his collaboration with Kotobukiya, a Japanese company established in 1947 that specializes in model kits and statues.

Busujima has played a key role in the creation of Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo (“beautiful girl”) line of 1/7th scale statues, which feature attractive young female characters from various media, including anime, comic books, and video games. His contributions involve sculpting and styling these figures, which are often characterized by an erotic or anime-influenced aesthetic. Notably, he has worked on bishoujo statues for major video game franchises, such as the Tekken series.
