EMS-TC02 Phantom Gundam

The EMS-TC02 Phantom Gundam is a prototype transformable mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Ghost. Developed by the Jupiter Republic, it was designed for high-speed interplanetary travel and covert operations. The Phantom Gundam integrates advanced technologies from the Amakusa and F99 Record Breaker mobile suits, notably featuring the Minovsky Drive for propulsion. However, the incomplete integration of the Minovsky Drive limited its transformation capabilities, rendering the suit unable to achieve full transformation as initially intended.

Equipped with powerful armaments, including Flame Swords, an upgraded Butterfly Buster, and the unstable Phantom Light, the Phantom Gundam was meant to be a formidable weapon. It also features the Mirage Bird transformation mode for long-haul space travel. Despite its advanced features, the Phantom Gundam was ultimately considered a failure due to its technological limitations and was abandoned. Nevertheless, its design and technology influenced future developments in mobile suit engineering, leaving a lasting impact on the Gundam universe.
