FA-78 Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.)

FA-78 Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.) is the heavily armed Gundam used by the Earth Federation’s Moore Brotherhood in Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. Its major pilot is Io Fleming, whose aggressive piloting style and jazz-filled battlefield presence are closely tied to the machine’s identity.

This Thunderbolt version of the Full Armor Gundam is equipped with extensive armour, multiple shields, beam weapons, missile pods, thrusters and support arms, giving it overwhelming firepower in the debris-filled Thunderbolt Sector. Unlike the cleaner classic RX-78 design, it presents the Gundam as a dense, militarised weapon system built for brutal space warfare. Its layered equipment and dramatic rivalry with Daryl Lorenz’s Psycho Zaku make it one of the standout modern Universal Century designs.
