FA-78 Full Armor Gundam

FA-78 Full Armor Gundam is a heavy equipment version of the original RX-78 Gundam concept from Mobile Suit Variation and later Universal Century material. It represents the idea of enhancing the Gundam with additional armour and weapons for greater battlefield durability and firepower.

The Full Armor Gundam adds armour panels, missile launchers, beam weapons and heavier equipment over the classic RX-78-style frame. Unlike the Thunderbolt version, the original FA-78 design has a cleaner MSV identity and is closely tied to early Gundam variation development. Its green armour and heavy-combat role make it a key design for understanding how the original Gundam concept was expanded beyond the TV series.
