NZ-666 Kshatriya

The NZ-666 Kshatriya is a formidable Newtype-use mobile suit developed by Neo Zeon during the Universal Century timeline, featured prominently in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Designed to miniaturize the massive NZ-000 Queen Mansa without sacrificing firepower, the Kshatriya stands at 22.3 meters tall and weighs approximately 74 metric tons when fully equipped.

Its most distinctive feature is its four large wing-like binders, each housing two mega particle cannons, six remote-controlled funnels, an I-Field generator for beam deflection, a propellant tank, flexible thrusters, and a sub-arm equipped with a small beam saber. These binders not only house the majority of the mobile suit’s weaponry but also serve as AMBAC (Active Mass Balance Acceleration) units, enhancing its maneuverability in space. The Kshatriya is also equipped with a psycho-frame cockpit, allowing a Newtype pilot to interface directly with the mobile suit via brainwave synchronization.

In combat, the Kshatriya is armed with twelve mega particle cannons—four mounted on the chest and two in each binder—capable of firing powerful beams or scattershot-style blasts. Additionally, it features six beam sabers for close-quarters combat, machine cannons for rapid-fire suppression, and twenty-four funnels for all-range attacks. These funnels possess beam guns capable of melting enemy mobile suit armor, making the Kshatriya a versatile and deadly adversary.

During the events of the Laplace Incident in UC 0096, the Kshatriya served as the personal mobile suit of Marida Cruz, a Cyber Newtype and former clone soldier. She utilized the Kshatriya in several battles, including engagements against Federation forces and the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. The Kshatriya was eventually captured by the Londo Bell ship Nahel Argama and underwent repairs, resulting in the NZ-666 Kshatriya Besserung, a modified version with improvised components and enhanced mobility.
