RX-104FF Penelope

The RX-104FF Penelope is the complete flight form of the RX-104 Odysseus Gundam equipped with the FF Unit in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway. It is piloted by Lane Aim of the Earth Federation’s Circe Unit during the campaign against Mafty.

The Penelope is one of the early U.C. 0100s mobile suits capable of independent atmospheric flight using Minovsky Flight technology, placing it in the same generation as Hathaway Noa’s RX-105 Xi Gundam. The Odysseus Gundam functions as the core mobile suit, while the large FF Unit adds the distinctive bird-like armour, flight systems and expanded silhouette. Its size and equipment make it feel closer to a mobile suit wrapped in a flight armour system than a conventional Gundam.

Known armament includes beam rifle, beam sabres, mega particle cannons, funnel missiles and shield equipment depending on depiction. Its full height is often listed at about 32.5 metres, making it far larger than One Year War-era Gundams and visually fitting the late-Universal Century trend toward oversized, high-performance machines before the later compact MS era.
