RX-78-6 Gundam Unit 6

The RX-78-6 Gundam Unit 6, commonly called the Mudrock Gundam, is an Earth Federation RX-78 development unit from Mobile Suit Gundam side-story material, especially Zeonic Front. It is configured as a heavier artillery-support Gundam rather than a balanced general-purpose prototype.

The Mudrock is fitted with shoulder cannons and heavier armour, giving it a role closer to a Gundam and Guncannon hybrid. Its design combines the RX-78 Gundam frame concept with mid-range cannon support and improved durability. The unit appears in Zeonic Front as an enemy machine encountered by Zeon forces, including the pilot Agar connected with the Mudrock storyline.

Armament is typically shown with 300mm shoulder cannons, beam rifle, grenade launchers, beam sabres, shield and head vulcans depending on version. Compared with G04 and G05, which are space-combat units, the Mudrock is more closely associated with ground combat and artillery support during the One Year War.
