XM-X2 Crossbone Gundam X-2

The XM-X2 Crossbone Gundam X-2 is a mobile suit from Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam. It is one of the Crossbone Gundam units developed by the Strategic Naval Research Institute and operated by the Crossbone Vanguard during the Jupiter Empire conflict.

The X-2 is most closely associated with Zabine Chareux. Compared with the white X-1 used by Kincade Nau, the X-2’s dark colour scheme and more aristocratic presence match Zabine’s background and ambitions. Like other Crossbone Gundams, it is designed for high-mobility combat around Jupiter, where strong thrusters, compact frame design and close-combat weapons are essential. Equipment such as the beam zanber, buster gun and anti-beam cloak help define the Crossbone family’s pirate-like battlefield identity.

The Crossbone Gundam X-2 is important because it represents the darker rival side of the Crossbone lineup. Its black armour, skull-and-crossbone styling and association with Zabine give it a strong antagonist-machine feel, while still sharing the same high-performance late-Universal Century engineering as the X-1.
