YMS-15 Gyan

YMS-15 Gyan is a prototype close-combat mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam, developed by the Principality of Zeon as a rival concept to the Gelgoog. Its major pilot is M’Quve, who uses the machine in his duel against Amuro Ray and the RX-78-2 Gundam.

The Gyan is unusual among One Year War Zeon suits because it is built around elegant melee combat rather than general-purpose warfare. Its signature equipment includes a fencing-style beam saber and a large shield fitted with missile and mine-launching weapons. With its knight-like appearance and distinctive duelling role, the Gyan remains one of the most recognisable Zeon prototype mobile suits.
