ZGMF-56E2/α Force Impulse Gundam Spec II

The ZGMF-56E2/α Force Impulse Gundam Spec II is the Force Silhouette configuration of the Impulse Gundam Spec II from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. It is based on the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam from Gundam SEED Destiny, the modular ZAFT Second Stage machine originally piloted by Shinn Asuka.

The Spec II version keeps the Impulse’s Core Splendor and Silhouette system, allowing the suit to change role by exchanging equipment packs. The Force Silhouette is the high-mobility general-purpose pack, designed for balanced close- to mid-range combat and capable flight performance. The original Force Impulse specification is listed with a height of 18.41 metres and weight of 78.3 tonnes, with armaments including CIWS, folding anti-armour knives, a high-energy beam rifle, mobile shield and MA-M941 Vajra beam sabres.

In SEED Freedom, the Impulse Gundam Spec II has updated power and VPS armour colour settings. It is piloted by Lunamaria Hawke and can receive deuterion beam energy transfer support from the Destiny Gundam Spec II. The Force form keeps the familiar red, white and blue Impulse identity while using a deeper revised colour balance for the new film design.
