Plamatea

Plamatea (プラマテア) is a joint line from Good Smile Company and Max Factory that turns popular anime, game and manga characters—as well as the odd mecha suit—into fully articulated snap-fit model kits. Bodies are non-scale but usually fall between 145 mm and 185 mm tall: Angela Balzac is about 145 mm, Thanatos and Azur Lane’s Baltimore are around 160 mm, while Guts in Berserker Armor pushes 185 mm, giving the range a roughly 1/12-scale footprint without strict scaling rules. Kits arrive on colour-separated runners with select pre-painted parts and tampo-printed faces, so basic tools are all that’s needed; optional water-slide or eye-direction decals add extra polish. Accessories are generous—metal chains for Thanatos’ coffins, a wired cloth cape for Guts, removable ship rigging for Baltimore—and every release includes an articulated stand for dynamic posing. With titles spanning Berserk, Persona 3 Reload, Azur Lane, Lycoris Recoil, Kantai Collection, Racing Miku, Cutie Honey and even Fallout’s T-60 Power Armor, Plamatea offers figure-level articulation and display quality alongside the satisfaction of a straightforward, glue-free build.
