Yamada Chemical’s Connectable Display Base is a high value-for-money modular “hangar / facility” display system for plastic models. In Japan, this series is most commonly found at DAISO store, so many builders know it simply as the “DAISO connectable display base” — even though it’s made by Yamada Chemical.
The core base builds into a wall + floor unit with mechanical panel details, and you can connect units vertically and horizontally to expand your layout. It’s also a great fit for most 1/144 kits, especially Bandai EG / HG / RG, giving your display an instant “in-universe” maintenance bay feel without needing a full diorama build. Add the dedicated option parts across the series to create a more convincing “base scene” with platforms, stairs, corridors, cranes, and more—ideal for shelf displays and quick photo backdrops.
