Meowscarada

Meowscarada (マスカーニャ) is a dual-type Grass/Dark Magician Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is the final evolution of the Paldea region’s Grass-type starter, Sprigatito, evolving from Floragato starting at level 36. Known for its high Speed and Attack stats, Meowscarada features the signature move Flower Trick, which never misses and always lands a critical hit.

Its design is based on a masked magician and a cat, specifically the Iberian lynx or Puss in Boots. Meowscarada uses the reflective fur of its cape to camouflage its flower’s stem, creating the illusion that the flower is floating while it secretly rigs foes with pollen-packed flower bombs. Characterized as having a proud and showy yet delicate personality, it often forms a strong attachment to its trainer and can become quite jealous. In competitive play, it is frequently used with the Protean ability and items like Focus Sash or Choice Scarf to capitalize on its agility and diverse movepool, which includes Triple Axel, Knock Off, and U-turn.
