Yasuo Ohtagaki

Yasuo Ohtagaki (太田垣 康男) is a Japanese manga artist and writer best known for creating the popular series Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. His work on the franchise includes both the original manga, which began serialization around 2012, and contributions to the original net animation (ONA) adaptation as a designer. Ohtagaki’s Gundam Thunderbolt series is noted for its unique creative direction and takes place in an alternate timeline from the main Gundam continuity. Beyond his writing and art, his work has been celebrated in various art collections, such as the Thunderbolt Art Works. In September 2018, he briefly suspended his creative activities due to tendonitis. In addition to the Gundam franchise, Ohtagaki is also the creator of Moonlight Mile.
