ASW-G-01 Gundam Bael

The ASW-G-01 Gundam Bael (ガンダム・バエル) is a high-performance mobile suit and the first of the 72 Gundam Frames produced by the predecessor organization of Gjallarhorn during the Calamity War. Standing 18.0 meters tall and weighing 30.0 tons, it features a dual Ahab Reactor configuration known as a Twin Reactor System. The machine’s design is characterized by an elegant white and blue color scheme and a distinctive angelic silhouette.

A key aesthetic and functional feature is its back-mounted thruster wings, which grant the suit exceptional mobility and acceleration in both space and gravity-bound environments. These wings also house integrated electromagnetic cannons primarily used to restrict enemy movement. For close-quarters combat, the Bael is equipped with two Bael Swords forged from a rare, ultra-strong metal and stored in blade holders on its rear skirt armor.

The suit utilizes the Alaya-Vijnana System (阿頼耶識システム), an organic device interface that links the pilot’s nervous system directly to the machine’s computer via spinal implants. This system provides the pilot with enhanced spatial awareness and allows for direct data processing, enabling the suit to reach its maximum physical potential. Protected by Nano-Laminate Armor, the Gundam Bael is noted for having the highest physical strength among the 72 Gundam Frames.
