EXT-GC/EA2 Estailev Cassowary
The EXT-GC/EA2 Estailev Cassowary is an assault-biased evolution of the Estailev platform, reworked for hard pushes at mid range. Its most distinctive feature is a heavy composite shield with an integrated high-rate Gatling system, letting the unit advance under its own suppressive fire while the shield soaks up return shots. A redesigned head unit improves sightlines and target acquisition, tightening tracking when the Cassowary is sprinting, bracing, or cutting angles through debris.
Its baseline loadout pairs a precision assault rifle with an underslung grenade launcher, giving quick transitions from accurate single-target fire to area denial. Once it has driven opponents out of cover, the Cassowary closes to finish with close-quarters tools—twin beam sabers for clean cuts and a compact knife for tight grapples. Alternate packages swap in a shotgun for breaching and point-blank shock, reinforcing its role as a spearhead that turns suppressed lanes into decisive entries.
On the move, the Cassowary fights like a rolling wedge. The shield Gatling pins enemies, grenades herd them, and the chassis darts forward to end the exchange before heavier units can bring weight to bear. Taken together, the revised head, the shield-gun ensemble, and the flexible secondary arms mark this variant as the red, hard-charging member of the line—built to seize initiative and hold it until the field breaks.
