Knight of Gold Type D Mirage

Knight of Gold Type D Mirage is a Mortar Headd from The Five Star Stories (ファイブスター物語), related to the legendary Knight of Gold and the Mirage machine lineage. The Knight of Gold is one of Mamoru Nagano’s most iconic designs, closely associated with Amaterasu and the Fatima Lachesis.

The Type D Mirage version carries the K.O.G.’s regal and almost divine image into a Mirage-related form. Its identity is less like a normal combat machine and more like a royal symbol: golden, elegant, overwhelming and deeply tied to the mythology of the Joker System. The Headliner-and-Fatima pairing is essential to understanding this kind of machine, because in FSS the greatest Mortar Headds express not only power and speed but also status, bloodline, emotion and destiny.
