FSS IMS #13 Knight of Gold Type D Mirage

The Knight of Gold Type D Mirage joins the Volks IMS – Injection Assembly Mortar Headd Series as IMS #13, presenting one of the most famous machines from The Five Star Stories in an impressive 1/100 scale plastic model kit.

This version focuses on the Knight of Gold equipped with its spectacular Buster Launcher, creating a dramatic display silhouette with a weapon measuring approximately 610 mm long. The kit captures the machine’s elegant golden armour, slim royal proportions and overwhelming presence, making it a standout centrepiece for any FSS collection.

Volks uses its ABSOMEC joint technology in selected areas, including the shoulder and hip mechanisms, to support more dynamic poses with the Buster Launcher. The launcher is connected to the waist unit by a movable arm, while the selectable heel parts and movable crampons help create a stable, lowered firing stance.

The kit also includes two real swords, multiple hand options, decals, screws and O-rings, giving builders a strong range of display choices. As with other Volks IMS releases, this is best suited to experienced modellers who enjoy detailed assembly, careful fitting and optional painting or finishing work.
