FSS VSMS #01 DACCAS The Black Knight

The DACCAS The Black Knight opens the Volks VSMS – VOLKS SUPER MODELING SERIES as VSMS #01, marking the start of Volks’ dedicated GTM injection plastic kit line for The Five Star Stories.

Unlike the earlier IMS Mortar Headd kits, the VSMS line focuses on GTM designs, bringing their distinctive proportions, mechanical structures and unusual movement concepts into plastic model kit form. DACCAS makes a strong first impression with its sharp head sculpt, dark knight silhouette, large hands and striking weapon-focused presence.

Volks has built this kit around several standout engineering features. The head includes finely separated parts for the forehead, horns, sharp eye line and small face details, while the spiral section at the back of the neck can be moved to create different expressions. The abdomen uses a special bellows structure with both movable and fixed options, allowing builders to choose between dynamic movement and a clean standing display. The arms also feature large GTM-style hands, with separated finger sections that allow subtle posing when holding the weapon.

With 245 parts, a 2-colour moulded plastic construction and an assembled height of approximately 244 mm, DACCAS offers a detailed but manageable build compared with some of the larger IMS kits. It is best suited to experienced model builders who enjoy careful assembly, cement work and optional painting to bring out the full effect of its dark metallic armour and intricate GTM design.
