DARLING in the FRANXX

DARLING in the FRANXX (ダーリン・イン・ザ・フランキス) is a 2018 original mecha romance anime created by Code:000 and produced by CloverWorks with Trigger and A-1 Pictures involvement. The story is set in a dystopian future where children are raised to pilot giant weapons called FRANXX and protect humanity from Klaxosaurs.

The series focuses on Squad 13, especially Hiro and Zero Two, whose partnership becomes the emotional centre of the story. DARLING in the FRANXX combines mecha action, coming-of-age drama and themes of identity, intimacy, control and what it means for artificially raised children to live as human beings.
