Mobile Suit Variations R

Mobile Suit Variation-R (機動戦士ガンダム MSV-R) is an original design series published in Gundam Ace from 2009 to 2013. Serving as a sequel to the original 1980s Mobile Suit Variations (MSV) line, it features new mechanical designs by Kunio Okawara that depict unconfirmed mobile suit variants and prototype machines from the One Year War era. The series includes detailed histories for these machines and their pilots, often expanding the lore of the Universal Century timeline. MSV-R has been integrated into various media, including the manga series Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden and Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R: Rainbow Shin Matsunaga, as well as video games and dedicated model kits.
