Phantasy Star Online 2

Phantasy Star Online 2 (ファンタシースターオンライン2) is Sega’s online action RPG and part of the wider Phantasy Star franchise. Launched in Japan in 2012, it follows the spacefaring organisation Oracle and its military/exploration division ARKS, whose members use photons to explore planets and fight threats such as the Falspawn and Dark Falz.

The series blends sci-fi adventure, anime-style character design, fast action combat and extensive character customisation. Its world covers ARKS ships, alien planets, photon-powered weapons and a large cast of NPCs, while later related works such as PSO2es and New Genesis expand the setting with additional characters and storylines.
