The Idolmaster Shiny Colors

The Idolmaster Shiny Colors (アイドルマスター シャイニーカラーズ) is a Japanese multimedia project developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Launched in April 2018 as a browser game, it expanded to mobile platforms in March 2019. The franchise centers around 283 Production, a talent agency managing 28 unique idols divided into eight distinct units, each with its own thematic identity and gameplay mechanics. Players assume the role of a producer, guiding these idols through training, performances, and personal growth to achieve stardom.

In addition to the original game, Shiny Colors has expanded into various media formats. A manga adaptation by Akira Shinozaki was serialized from July 2019 to August 2022, spanning five volumes. The anime television series, produced by Polygon Pictures, premiered its first season in April 2024, followed by a second season in October 2024. The series delves into the lives of the idols and their journey toward success in the entertainment industry.

The franchise also includes the rhythm game The Idolmaster Shiny Colors: Song for Prism, released in November 2023. This game combines rhythm-based gameplay with idol training simulation, offering players an immersive experience in managing their idols’ careers.
