Aoshima (青島文化教材社 / Aoshima Bunka Kyozai) is a long-running Japanese model manufacturer based in Shizuoka, best known for vehicle subjects and builder-friendly engineering. The company traces its roots back to 1924 and began developing plastic model kits under the Aoshima Bunka Kyozai name in 1961.

Today, Aoshima’s catalogue spans everything from highly detailed cars, bikes, trucks and ships to pop-culture and sci-fi kits—making it a favourite for modellers who love real-world machines and iconic screen vehicles. Their range includes classic 1/24 car and 1/700 ship lines, plus themed series like Movie Mecha, Thunderbirds, and Itasha (character-liveried cars), along with plenty of upgrade/detail-up options.
