Explore one of the strangest large theropods of the Late Cretaceous with Plannosaurus #11 Therizinosaurus. Bandai’s educational dinosaur series is designed around a two-stage build: first assemble the internal skeleton in “Skeletal Build”, then add the outer skin in “Dinosaur Build” to see how the reconstructed animal forms around its bones.
Released on 8 March 2025, the kit reflects modern interpretations of Therizinosaurus with extensive feathering across the body, prominent flight-feather-like structures on the arms and developed tail feathers. Its unusually robust hind limbs, leaf-shaped serrated teeth, sturdy beak and three exceptionally long, thin and gently curved hand claws are all reproduced from current palaeontological theories. The neck, tail and limbs remain movable after assembly, and the supplied base helps support a range of display poses.
