HGBF #040 Lightning Z Gundam

From Gundam Build Fighters Try, Sakai Minato’s Lightning Z Gundam appears as HGBF #40: a heavily reworked Zeta-family design that sacrifices transformation in favour of stronger mobile-suit proportions, articulation and a unique Phoenix Burst System. Released in July 2015, the kit uses an all-new body with exposed cylinder detail and large articulated rear binders rather than simply modifying an existing HGUC Zeta Gundam.

The rear binders can be removed from the backpack, fitted with clear beam blades and mounted on the forearms as large melee weapons. By moving the Beam Rifle to the back and rearranging the binders and Shield, the kit can also reproduce its cannon / Phoenix Burst firing configuration. The Beam Rifle grip folds away for storage, while the Shield includes its own internal grip.
