Masato Natsumoto

Masato Natsumoto (夏元 雅人) is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator. He is widely recognized for his manga adaptation of the Record of Lodoss War series, specifically the Chronicles of the Heroic Knight and Chroniken von Flaim story arcs. His work frequently involves popular media franchises, including numerous contributions to the Gundam series through titles like Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion, Mobile Suit Gundam Lost War Chronicles, and Kidou Senshi Gundam Gaiden – Uchuu, Senku no Hate ni.

Beyond the Gundam franchise, Natsumoto has collaborated with SNK on projects such as the King of Fighters: Kyo manga and game, as well as providing illustrations for the SNK Character Sounds Collection and various anthology covers. His bibliography also includes works like Suzumebachi and Gomaden Shutendoji. On a personal note, he is known to be an enthusiast of cats.
