Yuuichi Hasegawa

Yuichi Hasegawa (長谷川裕一), born on April 25, 1961, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, is a celebrated mangaka primarily known for his extensive contributions to the science fiction genre and the Gundam franchise. He made his debut with the series Maps (1985–1994) and has since become synonymous with the Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam series. His involvement with Crossbone Gundam spans several decades and includes numerous sequels and spin-offs such as Skull Heart, Steel 7, Ghost, Dust, and X-11.

Beyond his signature Gundam work, Hasegawa has authored a diverse array of manga, including Chronoeyes—which was nominated for a Seiun Award in 2003—and titles such as Dai Sword, Medusa Blade, and Dancougar BURN. He is also noted for his work on mechanical and original story designs for video games like Grandia II and Ninja Gaiden II. Known for his dynamic storytelling and distinct visual style, Hasegawa remains a prolific figure in the industry, frequently launching new projects within the Crossbone Gundam universe. He is the elder brother of anime scriptwriter and light novelist Katsumi Hasegawa.
