AMX-104 R-Jarja

The AMX-104 R-Jarja is a prototype mobile suit developed by Neo Zeon during the First Neo Zeon War, featured in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Designed for elite commanders, the R-Jarja draws inspiration from the Zeon’s YMS-15 Gyan, with a focus on close-quarters combat. It stands at 23.6 meters tall and features a distinctive red color scheme with a knightly aesthetic.

The mobile suit is equipped with a beam saber that has a large handguard, a beam rifle with a detachable heat bayonet, and two variable shields mounted on its shoulders. These shields can rotate 180 degrees to provide protection from various angles and are also armed with missile pods for ranged attacks. Additionally, the R-Jarja is fitted with multiple thrusters, enhancing its agility and combat effectiveness.

The R-Jarja was primarily piloted by Chara Soon, a high-ranking officer in Neo Zeon, who used it in several key engagements against the AEUG, including battles against Judau Ashta and the ZZ Gundam. Despite its advanced design, the R-Jarja was destroyed during a confrontation on the colony Moon Moon, where Chara attempted to grapple with the ZZ Gundam but was defeated. After the war, Neo Zeon remnants produced a variant known as the RS-Jarja. The AMX-104 R-Jarja remains a notable example of Neo Zeon’s commitment to creating specialized mobile suits for their elite forces, combining traditional Zeonic elements with advanced technology.
