GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam

The GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam is a specialized artillery mobile suit featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73: STARGAZER OVA series. Developed by Actaeon Industries as part of the “Actaeon Project,” this unit is a modified version of the GAT-X103 Buster Gundam, tailored for Phantom Pain’s ace pilots. Designed primarily for long-range bombardment, the Verde Buster is equipped with an array of formidable armaments, including a 94mm high-energy beam cannon, a 350mm gun launcher, two 6-tube 220mm multipurpose missile pods, and a pair of M9009B composite bayonet beam rifles. The bayonet rifles can combine into a twin cannon mode, capable of delivering devastating firepower. To enhance its combat effectiveness, the Verde Buster features Variable Phase Shift armor for improved energy efficiency and a power extender to support prolonged operations. A new face guard protects the enhanced main sensor during close combat engagements. Piloted by Shams Couza, the Verde Buster played a significant role in Phantom Pain’s operations during the Second Bloody Valentine War. In a notable mission, it was involved in a confrontation against ZAFT forces, where it displayed its formidable firepower. However, during a subsequent assignment to seize control of the DSSD’s AI-equipped GSX-401FW Stargazer Gundam, the Verde Buster was destroyed after Shams continued to fire on the space station despite warnings of energy depletion, ultimately leading to its demise in a hail of beam fire from the remaining Civilian Astray DSSD Customs. Despite its tragic end, the Verde Buster remains a testament to advanced mobile suit engineering and the intense combat scenarios of the Cosmic Era.
