RGM-79[G] GM Ground Type

RGM-79[G] GM Ground Type is a ground-combat Federation mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Based on technology from the RX-79[G] Ground Type Gundam, it was produced for Earth-based operations during the One Year War. As a mass-production machine, it is mainly associated with Federation ground forces rather than one single pilot.

The GM Ground Type has a more rugged and practical design than the standard space-use GM, with equipment suited for jungle, urban and battlefield terrain. It can use machine guns, beam sabers, shields, missile launchers and other ground-operation weapons.
