RX-78-02 White Gundam

The RX-78-02 White Gundam is the Earth Federation’s RX Project mobile suit in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. In the alternate version of U.C. 0079 shown in GQuuuuuuX, Char Aznable captures the White Gundam during the Side 7 incident, along with the Pegasus-class ship White Base, instead of Amuro Ray becoming its pilot.

Available profile information lists the RX-78-02 with a height of 18 metres and a weight of about 43 tonnes. The unit is designed for close-range mobile suit combat as part of the Federation’s new RX Project machines. After Char steals it, the machine is modified into the red gMS-α Red Gundam, including psycommu-related changes and funnel equipment derived from the Elmeth project.

This alternate capture changes the course of the One Year War in the GQuuuuuuX setting. Zeon wins the war, Char and the Red Gundam later disappear in the Zeknova incident, and the reappearance of the Red Gundam in U.C. 0085 becomes one of the triggers for the main story involving Shuji Ito, Nyaan and Amate Yuzuriha.
