The YAMS-132 Rozen Zulu is a highly advanced mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Neo Zeon faction. It was designed as a response to the Newtype capabilities of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, intended to counter its overwhelming power. The Rozen Zulu is an upgraded and heavily modified version of the AMS-129 Geara Zulu, incorporating features from other mobile suits like the MSN-06S Sinanju and AMX-103 Hamma Hamma. This mobile suit is striking in appearance, combining military functionality with aesthetic rose motifs, symbolizing its elegance and lethality. Piloted by Angelo Sauper, the Rozen Zulu has become one of the more notable suits of the Neo Zeon forces.

Standing at 22.5 meters tall and weighing up to 72.6 metric tons, the Rozen Zulu is a formidable opponent on the battlefield. It is powered by a Minovsky-type ultracompact fusion reactor, generating 4,950 kW of output. Its body is reinforced with titanium alloy ceramic composites for durability and equipped with a powerful thruster system that provides 257,200 kg of thrust, allowing the Rozen Zulu to achieve impressive mobility despite its size. The cockpit features a hybrid psychoframe system with panoramic monitors and a linear seat, enhancing the pilot’s control and responsiveness. The suit also includes a self-destruct system to ensure that it cannot fall into enemy hands if necessary.

The Rozen Zulu is equipped with a variety of advanced weapons. It features INCOM Claws, which are wire-guided remote weapons that combine three mega particle cannons for long-range firepower and claws for close-range combat. The suit is also armed with Psycho Jammers, devices that disrupt enemy psycommu systems and can generate psycho-fields, allowing the Rozen Zulu to capture or jam enemy units. In addition to its long-range and jamming capabilities, the Rozen Zulu carries a Mega Beam Shield with three mega particle cannons and an I-field generator, providing both offensive and defensive advantages. For additional support, the suit features a Wired Shield Unit, a replacement for the damaged right arm, that includes a 3-barrel mega particle cannon and its own I-field generator.

During the Laplace Incident in UC 0096, the Rozen Zulu was deployed to combat the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam aboard the Nahel Argama. Despite its advanced features and use of psycho jammers to disrupt the Unicorn Gundam’s NT-D system, the Rozen Zulu was eventually defeated in battle. However, it remains a testament to Neo Zeon’s determination to create mobile suits capable of challenging Newtype-powered suits.
