ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II

The ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II (ストライクフリーダムガンダム弐式) is an advanced mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM that serves as an upgraded version of the original ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom. Its design maintains the core silhouette of its predecessor but incorporates significant structural refinements, such as newly sculpted body parts that give it a more massive and powerful appearance. A key aesthetic change is the revised placement of its dual railguns on the waist, which now mount in a way that avoids awkward swiveling when storing its beam rifles.

The mecha is characterized by its iconic gold-colored internal frame and complex wing system, which houses eight Super DRAGOON units. These wings can deploy polarized Wings of Light that exhibit a color-shifting effect, transitioning between shades of blue, purple, and gold depending on the angle of light. Its specialized armament includes twin high-energy beam rifles that can combine into a single long-range weapon, dual beam sabers, and beam shield generators integrated into the DRAGOON units. Additionally, it features advanced offensive capabilities like the Disruptor and a redesigned head unit that houses specialized sensor equipment.
