Azur Lane

Azur Lane (アズールレーン) is a naval-themed mobile game developed by Manjuu and Yongshi and published in Japan by Yostar. It combines side-scrolling shooting, RPG and collection elements, with characters presented as anthropomorphised warships often called shipgirls.

The setting reimagines historical naval powers as factions such as Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Sakura Empire and Iron Blood. Characters are inspired by real warships but given anime-style personalities, costumes and relationships, creating a mix of naval history, alternate-world conflict and character collecting. The franchise has expanded into anime, manga, figures and model-related goods.
