MG #169 Aile Strike Gundam Ver. RM

From Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam returns to the Master Grade line in its extensively redesigned Ver. RM (Remaster) form. Released alongside the Gundam SEED HD Remaster project, this 2013 kit revisits Kira Yamato’s iconic Strike Gundam with new proportions, denser mechanical detailing and a modernised GAT-X inner frame developed from the shared engineering used across the MG SEED Remaster series.

Compared with the original 2003 MG Aile Strike, Ver. RM is a near-complete rebuild. The revised frame provides stronger joints and improved movement through the shoulders, waist, hips and ankles, while the exterior armour uses sharper panel detail and updated proportions with a smaller head and more balanced silhouette. The cockpit hatch opens, the two Armor Schneider knives fold and store inside the side skirts, and the kit includes the Strike’s beam rifle, shield and twin beam sabers for recreating its standard combat loadout.

The Aile Striker has also been completely redesigned, with deeper mechanical detail, folding wings, articulated wing flaps and movable thruster sections. Its rear section can slide and extend to make room for additional equipment, allowing the kit to combine with compatible MG Sword and Launcher Striker parts to recreate the Perfect Strike Gundam. Dedicated adapter parts and an additional launcher magazine/battery unit are included for this configuration, while the supplied Archangel-style display stand supports launch and aerial poses even when the large Aile pack is fitted.
