SD Gundam World Heroes

SD Gundam World Heroes is a fast-paced SD (super-deformed) Gundam adventure set across multiple “worlds” that collide after a mysterious blazing meteor hits Neo World. At the impact site appears an amnesiac youth, Wukong Impulse Gundam, whose arrival sparks a globe-trotting quest as veteran heroes rally to contain the chaos. The series is a follow-up to *SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden* and keeps the same mix of playful humor, flashy action, and surprisingly earnest heroics—just broadened from a single era to a patchwork of realms inspired by history, legend, and pop myth.

Each world has its own flavor and headliners: a Sengoku-styled land ruled by figures like Nobunaga Gundam Epyon, a chivalric Knight World led by Arthur Gundam Mk-III, cyber-sleek cityscapes patrolled by shinobi such as Sasuke Delta Gundam, and more. Returning faces like Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam and Zhuge Liang Freedom Gundam anchor the cast, while Wukong’s growth from reckless prodigy to true hero provides the through-line. The show hops between mysteries, duels, and unlikely team-ups, with character designs that remix classic mobile suits into ornate, themed armor bristling with gimmicks and transformation cues.

Tied closely to the SDW HEROES model kit line, the anime showcases modular weapons, effect parts, and color-separated armor that translate neatly to kits and customization. A companion project, SD Gundam World Heroes: The Legend of Dragon Knight, expands the Knight World lore with new characters and side stories. Overall, it’s a colorful entry point for newcomers and a playful sandbox for long-time fans who enjoy seeing iconic suits reimagined through the lens of world folklore.
