RG #04 Zaku II

From the original Mobile Suit Gundam, the Principality of Zeon’s MS-06F Zaku II joins the Real Grade line as RG #04. This is the standard mass-production F-type Zaku II that formed the backbone of Zeon’s mobile-suit forces during the One Year War, reproduced in the familiar green colour scheme rather than the red commander configuration of Char Aznable’s machine.

As an early Real Grade release, the kit uses Bandai’s pre-moulded Advanced MS Joint system to create a highly articulated internal structure beneath layered 1/144 armour. The F-type backpack and rear-leg vernier arrangement are reproduced separately from the earlier RG Char’s Zaku II, while the head can be built in three configurations: a standard rank-and-file unit with no command fin, or a commander version using either of the two supplied antenna styles.

The classic Zaku weapon set is fully represented with a Zaku Machine Gun, Zaku Bazooka and Heat Hawk. In addition to the articulated RG hands, Bandai supplies a fixed right weapon-holding hand for a firmer rifle grip and an expressive open left hand. A standing 1/144 Zeon pilot figure and a Realistic Decal sheet complete the military-style presentation.
