HGUC #019 Z’gok (Char’s Custom)

From the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Char Aznable’s distinctive red MSM-07S Z’Gok joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #019. The commander-type Z’Gok is one of Char’s most memorable One Year War machines, famously deployed during the assault on the Earth Federation’s Jaburo headquarters, where its amphibious design, powerful integrated weapons and brutal close-combat claws made an immediate impression.

This 1/144 kit is based on the early HGUC Z’Gok engineering, using the same construction as HGUC #006 but moulded in Char’s characteristic red and pink colour scheme. ABS ball joints are used through the segmented arms, legs and torso to preserve the Z’Gok’s unusual curved silhouette while still providing useful movement. The three-pronged Iron Nail claws are individually poseable, the rear thruster units can be adjusted, and the mono-eye is represented by a foil sticker that can be positioned to give the finished model a chosen viewing direction.

The Z’Gok carries all of its weapons internally, so there are no separate rifles or sabers to attach. The kit faithfully sculpts the six 240mm missile launcher openings across the top of the head and the mega-particle cannon barrels in the palms between the claws. Detailed tread patterns are also reproduced on the soles, adding mechanical texture to this compact early-HGUC release.
