MG #013 Gundam GP02A

Recreate one of the most imposing machines from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory with the MG #013 1/100 RX-78GP02A Gundam GP02A “Physalis”. Built as the second unit of the Gundam Development Project and later stolen by Anavel Gato of the Delaz Fleet, the GP02A stands apart from most Gundams through its massive armour, oversized shoulder binders and the distinctive Atomic Bazooka that defines its role in the series.

Originally released in June 1998 as an early Master Grade kit, the GP02A combines its heavyweight proportions with a number of mechanical display features. The large flexible thruster binders on both shoulders open outward while their internal thruster nozzles change angle in conjunction with the movement. The Atomic Bazooka separates for storage: its long barrel fits inside the reverse of the massive shield, while the bazooka base is carried on the backpack and the Mk-82 warhead can be housed in the backpack container. The cockpit hatch opens to reveal the pilot area, and sections of the foot armour can be removed to expose moulded internal mechanisms. Two Beam Sabers are stored in the side-waist armour for close-combat poses.
