HGUC #066 Gundam GP-02A Physalis

From Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, the heavily armoured RX-78GP02A Gundam GP02A “Physalis” joins the HGUC line in its original Atomic Bazooka configuration. Built around the imposing proportions of Gundam Development Project Unit 2, the design combines massive shoulder binders, a thick radiator shield and the oversized bazooka that defines Anavel Gato’s stolen Gundam.

The kit reproduces the unusual way the Atomic Bazooka is carried: the rear section remains attached to the mobile suit while the long front barrel is stored inside the shield, and the two sections can be joined for firing poses. The shoulder binders can open out for the GP02A’s flight configuration, while the included display stand supports airborne poses despite the model’s bulky silhouette. A second stand adapter is also supplied so the separately sold HGUC GP01Fb can be posed opposite the GP02A for their climactic duel.
