HGUC #215 Moon Gundam

From the Mobile Suit Moon Gundam manga, Jutta Qasim’s AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #215. In the story, the machine is created by combining the body of the Neo Zeon prototype Varguil with the recovered head of the G-Doors and the eight Psycho Plates found with it. The resulting mobile suit is recoloured in Gundam-style tricolour and becomes the title machine of this U.C.0092 story leading toward Char’s Counterattack.

The eight large Psycho Plates dominate both the design and the kit engineering. Each plate separates individually and contains multiple connection points, allowing the set to form the familiar crescent behind the backpack or be rearranged into extended rows, folded groups and shield-like defensive configurations. Articulated backpack support arms suspend the crescent above the model, while dedicated joints and the included display base allow separated Psycho Plates to be shown in remote-weapon poses around the Gundam.

The kit also reproduces Moon Gundam’s unusually sophisticated close-combat equipment. Two Butterfly Edges are stored in the forearms and can be displayed deployed with clear beam effects or launched using the supplied connection parts. A Beam Tomahawk and Beam Rifle complete the main armament. High-end HGUC articulation includes a sliding hip mechanism, multi-axis torso movement, deeply bending knees and opening leg verniers, giving the large mobile suit excellent posing freedom even with the Psycho Plates attached.
