HG 1/144 Typhoeus Gundam Chimera is the massive final-form Gunpla from Gundam Build Metaverse. Built around the Typhoeus Gundam core and the detachable Kutan Twin Dragon Type support unit, the completed Chimera stands approximately 257 mm tall, an unusually imposing size for a 1/144 High Grade release.
The kit supports multiple display configurations. Removing the outer equipment reveals the standalone Typhoeus Gundam, while the Kutan Twin Dragon Type can be rearranged into its own mobile-armour/support form and displayed separately on the included large stand. The Chimera configuration adds enormous arm and leg units, twin smoothbore guns and Reflector Bits, creating a much bulkier silhouette around the central Gundam.
Bandai also includes the parts needed to reproduce the unit’s remote-weapon attacks. The oversized forearms and Dragon Head leg units can be displayed launched away from the body using dedicated joints and two different types of lead wire, including bundled five-strand wires for the heavier leg units. Storage-state and deployed-state Reflector Bit parts are supplied together with dedicated clear supports, making it possible to build a full all-range attack display straight from the box.
