HGIBO #010 Amida’s Hyakuren

From Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the STH-05/AC Amida’s Hyakuren joins the HGIBO line as #10. Piloted by veteran Turbines pilot Amida Arca, this distinctive machine is one of the early-production “single-number” Hyakurens — high-specification units built before the type entered wider production — and is immediately recognisable by Amida’s red and pink personal colour scheme.

The kit is based on the standard Hyakuren but adds Amida’s newly moulded 130mm Assault Rifle, giving the model a broader ranged loadout alongside the original 100mm Rifle Cannon. Its close-combat equipment is equally distinctive: the Single-Edged Blade can be carried in a sheath mounted on the rear skirt, while the armour pieces beneath the side skirts detach and convert into a pair of Knuckle Guards for close-range fighting.

The Hyakuren’s heavily armoured, samurai-influenced silhouette is recreated in 1/144 scale with colour-moulded parts and foil stickers for the machine-specific details. Despite its bulky appearance, the HGIBO construction provides useful articulation for rifle, blade and knuckle-guard poses, and a 3 mm connection beneath the waist allows the model to be displayed on a compatible Action Base.
