Kaleido ColorWorks Auto Colours are high-performance water-based acrylic paints developed to reproduce the rich, smooth finishes associated with automotive paintwork. The range covers a selection of factory-style automotive shades in high-gloss, metallic and pearl finishes, making it ideal for model cars, motorcycles and any project where a deep, polished colour finish is desired.
Powered by Kaleido’s RapidAir™ Technology, the paint forms a smooth, even layer while reducing common problems associated with water-based airbrush paints such as beading, sagging and uneven coverage. Nano-level pigment dispersion provides strong colour density and helps create an exceptionally smooth surface, allowing gloss colours to develop a clean, reflective appearance while metallic and pearl shades produce fine, controlled effects under changing light.
The 20 ml paints are factory pre-thinned and formulated for direct airbrush use. They perform particularly well with airbrushes of 0.3 mm or larger at pressures of approximately 10 PSI and above, reducing preparation time while maintaining consistent paint performance.
Strong coverage means fewer layers are normally required to achieve an opaque finish, while the cured paint film provides good resistance to handling, masking and surface abrasion.
Although developed with automotive subjects in mind, Auto Colours are equally suitable for Gunpla, mecha, sci-fi kits and custom builds where vivid racing colours, sophisticated metallics or high-gloss finishes are required.

Usage Guide
- Shake or thoroughly mix the paint before use, particularly metallic and pearl colours where pigments may settle during storage.
- For standard airbrushing, the paint can normally be used directly from the bottle.
- Recommended for 0.3 mm or larger airbrushes at approximately 10 PSI or above.
- Additional thinner can be added where lower viscosity is required for a particular technique or airbrush setup.
- Build colour gradually using smooth, controlled coats for the most even finish.
- Allow approximately 15–20 minutes for the surface to dry under normal conditions.
- For the deepest gloss and additional protection, a compatible clear coat can be applied after the colour layer has fully cured.
